Dave Kastelic


Dave Kastelic, CPA, CMA, ICD.D is the Managing Partner at TRAIL HR Consulting. Dave’s career to date includes more than 30 years’ senior leadership experience, board director / advisory expertise and his experience includes 10 years in professional recruitment.

Dave is the founder of TRAIL HR Consulting and he leads the HR Advisory and Special Project consulting work that the company provides to clients across Alberta. He has a unique ability to gain a strong understanding of the client’s current situation and to manage the delivery of value-added consulting services. 

Dave’s leadership strengths include his ability to build high-performing management teams in line with corporate vision and values. His passion for finding talented people and providing mentorship are most valuable to his clients in assisting them in strengthening their current talent pool and planning for succession.

Dave also works part time as a Business Execution Specialist at Results where he works closely with client organizations to inspire them to transform from Good to “Great”. He is best known for his positive and proactive approach to Leadership.

Away from his professional roles, Dave takes great pride in spending time with his wife, 5 daughters and their families which now boast 5 grandchildren. Dave enjoys the outdoors, playing golf and has a passion for enjoying a good glass of red wine. Dave is an active community member and devotes time to charities including Good Shepherd Parish and the Edmonton Christmas Bureau.


Sean has over 20 years of experience in Education and Human Resources.  As Vice President of Human Resources with Flint Energy, Sean was responsible for deploying attraction, development and retention strategies across North America. Sean understands the importance of having people programs that fit the organization’s size and culture. He now uses that experience to help identify an organization’s requirements and then finds the appropriate temporary or part time resource for that organization.

Lori Mienhart


Lori Mienhart’s passion and enthusiasm have shaped her reputation for bringing out the best in people.  She has spent her career recruiting and developing talent, building high performance teams, coaching leaders, creating cultures of high engagement, all while managing complex businesses and exceeding business targets through consistent performance improvement.

She gained her vast experience through progressively challenging roles in the service sector.  As Regional Director for Western Canada, she was responsible for multiple locations and hundreds of associates.  She excels in both operations and human resource management.  Working closely with senior executives, she was intrinsically involved in shaping strategic plans and long-term succession planning.  She has created and designed programs at the regional and corporate level for sales development, profit management, customer engagement and retention, employee and leadership development.

Her retail career spans a total of 20 years.  After successfully introducing Western Canada to the American Eagle Outfitter brand, Lori shifted her focus from business operations to HR consulting and talent acquisition. Working across broad industry sectors from Insurance and Investments to Oil and Gas she has strengthened teams and performance by aligning high performing talent with business needs and helping leaders strategically plan their business and team efforts.

Lori’s focus areas include strategic planning, succession planning, recruiting, training, coaching, team building, performance management, merchandising, and general HR and business consulting. In addition to her practical approach, humour and honest candor she is a certified trainer, engaging presenter and serves as President on two not for profit boards.  She currently lives in Edmonton Alberta but is available to support projects across Canada.
